Top Oil South Leinster Schools Senior Hurling ‘C’ Championship

Wexford CBS………………………………………1-21
Ramsgrange CS……………………………………1-9
A powerful display from CBS ensured the two points came back to the Boker in this eagerly contested senor championship match but at the end of the day, the Ramsgrange students couldn’t match the firepower of the CBS.
At half-time the score was 1-7 to 0-5 as CBS enjoyed a five point lead as a result of Jack O’Leary’s 19th minute goal and sharp shooting from Richie Lawlor, Adam Howlin and O’Leary.
Ramsgrange CS had punished any slack CBS defending with points and it took a strong start to the second half to put daylight between the teams. Michael Laffan, Philip Rawson and Richie Lawlor grabbed points to make it 1-10 to 0-5.
CBS pulled further ahead as Jack O’Leary, Adam Howlin, Philip Rawson and a brace of converted frees from Howlin made it 1-15 to 0-6.
What was pleasing for management was the contribution of the subs as they all contributed to a fine win and solid start to the championship.
