Marco Pons (DMP AC) added 5.60m to Jason Flynn’s 1995 record when he won the All-Ireland U19 discus with a throw of 55.00m, showing once again his fine throwing form this season.

A strong team of 15 Irish Junior athletes, 6 women and 9 men, has been announced for the European Juniors in    Tallinn, Estonia from July 21st to 24th
