China Tour
Twenty four TY students and three teachers travelled to Beijing, China via Istanbul recently to experience Chinese culture and language first hand. It was the trip of a lifetime, as the group visited The Great Wall, Temple Of Heaven Summer Palace, Olympic Park and Birds Nest Stadium, Beijing Zoo, City Museeum as well as dining on very local cuisine at local restaurants, haggling at the Silk and Pearl Markets. They also attended an amazing acrobatic show and took part in a Kung Fu class.
The 12 hour overnight train trip to Xian was an experience not to be forgotten, as was the visit to the Terrecotta Warriors and cycling on top of the 14k Wall of Xian.
