Wexford C.B.S…….48
New Ross C.B.S……13
Wexford were prepared for a tough game as New Ross had been tipped to go along way in this competition. The benefit of having played a hard encounter the week before stood to us and the physical battle thatwas anticipated did not cause us any concern.
Star of the day was Colm Browne, who electrified the pitch with his pace and angles of running and eventually finished with a hat-trick of tries. Colm O’Corcora made his return to the side a memorable one too with two well taken scores.
The forwards have played with relentless commitment to date, excelling at ruck time and carrying into contact at tremendous pace. Front row forward Ciaran Kavanagh was rewarded with two tries and Marco Pons crashed over for one. Colm O’Corcora added three conversions and Eoin Roche kicked one.
Scoring 48 points in devastating fashion has giving a great deal of confidence to this side, and now the sights are firmly set on a semi-final date with St. Brendan's, Bray.
