Wexford were up against a big physical side in todays final and it was their true grit and determination that kept them fighting to the very end. Trailing 20-0 approaching half time Wexford finally got their hands on the ball and captain Conor Fenlon scored a fine try which Joe Coleman converted. These 7 points gave Wexford hope.
The second half began with Wexford in possession and they pounded the line but were unable to breakthrough.
Eventuall Chris Vickery managed to score again Coleman converted and it was game on at 20-14. However Malihide managed the next scored and left Wexford with too big a mountain to climb as time ran out.
As usual Wexford fought with imense conviction and each player gave his all and can live with the belief that it was not to be on this occassion.
